Why therapy?

People come to therapy for a wide variety of reasons. You might use the space to process difficult feelings or past trauma(s) or to get support in managing anxiety and low mood. You may come with a specific challenge, a difficult decision or transition, where speaking to someone outside of your established network could offer clarity and a way to move forward.

There may be an intention to deepen your self-awareness through gaining a better understanding of yourself, your identity and your relationships. The source of your distress might feel vague, unclear or confusing and that’s ok too.

Therapy can help make sense of overwhelming experiences, offer a space to explore deep-rooted patterns, release feelings you may be ‘bottling up’ and find ways of understanding your moods and emotional life.
